Time Indaiatuba's first ever season is coming to a close. The team's inaugural year saw break outs from two young riders, sprinter Iago Chiarella, and Danish hill specialist Rubert Smidt.
Chiarella, hailing from his team's native Brazil, carried the group from its inception, earning Indaiatuba's first podium in the bottom division, and swiftly following up with a podium in division 10. Shortly after that, he earned his first ever victory at Szentes - Szentes, a division 10 race in Hungary. It was a dominating victory for Indaiatuba as teammates Leandro Lambert and Estêvão Trevilin rounded out the podium.
These results saw the team rise up to division 7 where their inexperience began to show. A series of poor results against stronger opposition saw the team struggling, but help was on its way in the form of Rubert Smidt, the newly emerged talent out of Denmark. The young puncheur's potential began to show instantly, finishing his debut race just outside the top ten and gaining a third place in only his second race - on home soil no less - division 8's Vestfyn Rundt.
The team will be eager to start its second season, hungry for results in the higher divisions.
